Amedeo Modigliani Foundation Award

The Amedeo Modigliani Foundation, in its activities of dissemination and enhancement of the figure and work of the artist Amedeo Modigliani, announces the 1st Edition of the Amedeo Modigliani Foundation Award aimed at a vast audience of emerging artists both in traditional art expressions and in innovative ones.

The art awards represent for artists an excellent showcase of visibility towards collectors and gallery owners; the prizes, included in one’s Curriculum Vitae, become key information to evaluate the path and career of an artist in the eyes of the operators of the art world.

The competition is sponsored by public and private bodies and intends to recognize and enhance artistic personalities who can renew the Italian and international artistic panorama.

A prestigious technical committee (Jury) is being set up both in the academic world and internationally renowned in its sector (critics, journalists, artists and / or gallery owners) which will meet to select the finalist works.

The Competition does not have a specific theme and will select artists in the following disciplines:

Painting – Sculpture – Photography – Literature (Poetry, Essays and Fiction)

Only unpublished works, which have not participated in any prize and have not had any publications, will be able to participate in the Prize.

Registrations will open on November 15, 2021 and will end on September 30, 2022, through the Foundation’s website www.fondazioneamedeomodigliani.org.

The artists, once selected by the technical committee, will be awarded in the prestigious Woolbridge Art Gallery location in Biella with an exhibition of the winning works.

The personalities who distinguished themselves in the field of culture and entertainment during the year will also be awarded the Amedeo Modigliani Prize.

Career prizes related to the prize categories will also be awarded.

The awards will take place on 11 November 2022 at the Woolbridge Art Gallery in Biella in the presence of the national and foreign press, critics, collectors and art gallery owners.

The commitment of the Amedeo Modigliani Foundation is to raise the award to a coveted and prestigious event in the field of culture.
